What do you really want; how will you know when you have it?

Does this question cause internal struggle? Just thinking about this question causes you to break out in a ‘cold sweat’, your hands become clammy and chill bumps cover your body.

You know you desire and deserve better, but how do you get it? Click to Tweet

I know that struggle all too well because I dreamt of a different lifestyle for many years. I would see myself traveling to far away places, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. My imagination had no boundaries AND then, I would “come to my senses” and realize “this is not possible for me.” You see, I grew up in a home where travel was not talked about. Our travel centered around visiting my grandparents who lived 100 miles away and a trip to the beach (60 miles) each summer.

So, how did I develop this thirst for travel and why was I so conflicted? My desire to travel came from reading novels set in foreign places. Some of my favorites were the Shogun Series, The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, and The Eye Of The Needle. Through the characters I experienced meeting people, sitting on piazzas drinking delicious red wine with people from around the world, and traipsing down streets window shopping. Oh, what a way to live!

You too, have imagined and felt yourself living your life your way. But you struggle because you’re no longer sure of what you want and your life’s goals have become cloudy. You’ve grown accustomed to listening to and following the advice/suggestions of others. Vacillating back and forth in making a decision is a sure sign that you’re not listening to your authentic self.

Time is passing by unnoticed, you wonder, where did the years go?

Listen to your soul to hear your authentic self. You know it’s your soul talking because it feels right. It reminds you of the joy and passion you had when you followed your own path. You did the things you love and felt alive as if you would burst wide open with excitement.

Now is your time to recapture your joy, become playful again, imagine yourself living your life your way and feel it real. It feels so real that all of your senses tell you that you’re on your right track. Join us in the 7 Days To Blissful Living Challenge to support you in feeling it real.

I was watching my six and nine year old daughters playing the other morning when suddenly there was a barrage of I Hate You and I Don't Like You Anymore statements flying about the room. Of course, it was just a moment of disagreement in child play, but the thoughts and feelings were real enough to them at that moment.
