What Does It Mean to be One?

Essentially all religions and scriptures say the universe began with God which is/was the Singularity of all. In this beginning there was nothing before this Spirit and this Spirit is ever-existent beyond the concepts of all time and phenomena. No man is capable of saying how, why or when it all began but this singular essence is the First Cause to all of creation.

For those that may not believe in a conscious being that willfully called forth manifestation, even science doesn't dispute that all matter in the universe is connected to One original source or substance. Not even an Atheist can dispute this data. From this one essence, all seemingly separate and varied forms and expressions have their roots.
Thus, the question remains if all matter from atoms, rocks, minerals, bacteria, plants, animals, man, planets and stars come from One "thing," is it possible for them to ever truly be separate "things"?

Yes, it is true each of your fingers, toes, arms, legs, organs and so forth are unique but they are still part of your one body serving different functions. Likewise, all animate and inanimate life forms throughout the cosmos may appear to be unique, they still are ete
ally intertwined and connected.

Great scientists, physicists and now quantum physicists are proving daily this interconnectedness between all matter, particles, objects, subjects, observer, observed, living and seemingly "lifeless" organisms. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. It is impossible to observe and object without influencing that object. These are the revelations coming to light more and more.

Science is already proving these things to be true. Some religions recognize these truths but many still seem to preach a doctrine that doesn't truly grasp the interconnectedness of all things. It is hence due time for man's consciousness to Realize our Oneness of Being. That which we do unto another we do unto ourselves. Some call this the law of karma or you reap what you sow but it is truly much grander than this!

The Truth is there is, has always been and will forever be the Original One Essence called God, Spirit or the Unmanifest that is "being" all things. This Self is peering out into the universe through many "eyes" of various living entities back upo
Itself! While we as seemingly separate "individual" parts are mostly only capable of seeing our small part of the universe, it doesn't falsify the Truth that we all "borrow" our being and consciousness from this Alpha that has already declared It is likewise the Omega; the beginning and the end.

Yet the greatest goal and/or expression of the "individual" is to reconnect to this Oneness. This is the true goal of life and yoga/meditation are the tools to help one reconnect. We are never more alive or blessed than when we totally reabsorb our being, consciousness and awareness back to its original Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent "perspective."

The sum is greater than its parts and yet the "parts" are never more complete and fulfilled than when they are in harmony with the One! Live and treat others as if you were doing it for God or at least as if you were doing it with the understanding that this "other" is nothing else but your Self! This is called unconditional, universal LOVE!
