What does my intuition have to say? When was the last time you asked yourself that? If it's been awhile (or never), I encourage you to pause a minute and ask yourself, "Why haven't I?" Your intuition is your inner voice, your own North Star. It's there. But you need to be willing to listen for it. You need to be still (and patient) to hear it. Your intuition won't steer you wrong. Many things (and people) will. Whether on purpose, or not. But your intuition, your authentic self, will never, ever steer you wrong. You might not want to hear what your intuition has to say. You might not be ready for it. You might be afraid of what it will tell you. But know this. It will be the truth. Your own inner truth. Try this: If you feel that you need some guidance, need a new direction, need to do things differently - then make some time to get to know your intuition. Here are three exercises to help you tap into your intuition:Get Quiet. Just sit. Make some space for yourself in your day to sit quietly and breathe. Be silent. And ask yourself whatever question is on your mind. Allow the answer to come - or not - as you continue to breathe and sit quietly. I encourage you to get into the practice of creating this quiet space for your intuition to become more prominent. Once you do, you'll start hearing that small, quiet, inner voice of wisdom more easily. You'll start recognizing when your authentic self is speaking. And you can follow your heart's desire - your North Star - with confidence. journal. Pose a question to yourself and then do some jou aling. Write whatever comes to mind, in a stream-of-consciousness style, where you don't edit or correct anything you write. See what comes up in answer to your question. Another jou aling exercise is to pose the question that's on your mind by writing it with your dominant hand and then switch the pen to your non-dominant hand to answer. With practice, this becomes a dialogue between your left and right brain. And it's a very powerful tool for tapping into your intuition. Use Your Body Compass. Access your intuition through your physical body. Identify how you're actually feeling about the situation or the question on your mind. If you're very disconnected from your body, this is a wonderful tool to begin that process of reconnection. Start by noticing where you feel strong emotions in your body. Both positive and negative emotions can be felt in your body and by recognizing them clearly, you have a handle on what your intuition is telling you about the situation at hand. This is often referred to as "going with your gut" or "listening to your heart." Again, it takes practice. But once you learn to read your emotions through your body, you've got a reliable body compass for tapping into your intuition. If you don't know what to do next, then do nothing. Get quiet. Go inside and listen for that inner guidance - that small, calm voice - and let it guide you. Try following your North Star and see what happens. I promise that once you start listening to your intuition regularly you will be on an exciting journey because it will be your true path!
