Are you still trying to connect to your authentic self?

Let's face it, we're in a world that is constantly telling us ideas of who we should be, how we should be, and what we should have. It can be challenging to just 'be yourself' without fear of judgment and rejection.

You take the brave step to be your best self and serve the world (or at least a small corner) with your gifts by breaking free from all the old ideals and people holding you back. Maybe you step up and form a business or consulting idea.

Often starting a business or entering into another chapter of life as a new beginning to do something you love, our fear of judgment and rejection can be even more magnified. You believe it will move you closer to being aligned with your truth and get you connected to your authentic self. But then, like a slap in the face…

Huh! Are you realizing that just ain't happening the way you thought it would? If you gave a dreaded yes, you are not alone. Part of you wants to break out and do something different and another part of you still wants to fit in. The new you is in conflict with the old you as you move away from your old thoughts, beliefs and behaviors towards becoming the best version of YOU. So how do you get out of this loop and be your best authentic self?
Being authentic requires huge scoops of self-awareness. Tapping into your true authentic self is an inside job not just making the exte
al changes or through the passing of time.

To be authentic in every action, thought, feeling and decision you need to get rid of the crap that is part of you mentally, emotionally and spiritually that is NOT yours. We all have this clutter that has defined us...some you are aware of and most you're not.

What is this clutter?

It's the old beliefs, doctrines or values that were impressed upon you by someone else before you were able to decide and understand for yourself, and from societal influences.

Now you're feeling the conflict between those embedded untruth's and your authentic truth as you work to up level and tap into the REAL YOU. Bringing out your best and authentic self is a process and why women hire coaches and mentors to guide them gracefully with the tools and needed mindset to release those layers of beliefs and judgments that we are often not able to do on our own. - so you can live fully your authentic self and move to the next level doing what you love with ease.

To connect with your authentic self, start the process with this simple self-awareness exercise:

1. Write down things you do each day as a matter of routine and ask yourself why you do them that way. Who/what contributed to that habit? Could you change something about it that would better align with YOU?

2. Think about traditions and family patterns. Whether you practice or not they are part of your past and influence you now. Write them down. Ask yourself if you believe them; enjoy them. What could change in thought or practice to better align with you?

3. Next, write down who you hang out with (people or places) that make you feel disempowered, unsupported and not in alignment with your desires. How can you change or switch your beliefs to be more the real you?

Being authentic in a world of social influence telling you who, how and what you should be can be difficult. IT IS POSSIBLE FOR YOU. Continue on your journey to becoming the best version of YOU.

The world needs you!

The real authentic YOU!

After all the hours of therapy and self-help, self-discoveries, self-realizations, and self-improvements I’ve made, I just identified yet another layer of unresolved issues that I need to deal with. Can you relate? When will we finally be done evolving and growing into the person who we want to be and arrive “there”—at the life we always wanted?

Sometimes, life smiles on you. It’s the kind of thing that nourishes hope. And then, life turns. And, well – you deal with it. Upon my return from Germany and settling the affairs of my late father, I retained a lawyer—with more money I did not have—to fight the eviction notice I’d received while I was abroad. I found a bankruptcy attorney and prepared myself to let it all go. Even though I had just negotiated a huge deal with Getty Images, the largest such distributor in the world, I realized that I might not make it to see my business turn a profit.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could do what we love and money would flow automatically? It actually can do this and it will, but not entirely by itself. An extra step is needed. Money comes around when it is actively pursued and it doesn’t when you neglect to do so. Let’s take a closer look at how making money fits into the day to day planning by the example of the average entrepreneurial business owner. Most of you have figured it out, but there is still a difference between getting something done and generating income. Let’s look at why that is.
