There's a lot of hype and a lot of truth to what exactly "intuition" is. For some, it's a difficult term to grasp because its meaning is as diverse as its conception - and practice, thereof. Also known as a sixth sense, gut feeling, hunch, instinctiveness, or insight; intuition lends to an awareness or cognitive perception of things, ideas, people or situations without foreknowledge. Intuition is also applied in many facets of everyday life; sometimes without our ever realizing it. Have you ever been in a situation or environment where something just didn't "feel right?" Or perhaps, your innate wisdom compelled you to change your course in direction, or in life? These are just a few examples of what intuition is and how it works. We suddenly, for no apparent reason, gain an insight or "feel" about something; and we instinctively know that we must either change course, or pursue the encounter vigorously. Some theorists think that intuition is a learned response mechanism based on past experiences. But if this were the case, then how are impromptu insights, and responsive actions triggered when an individual never had similar experiences? While sensory experiences may fluctuate from person to person, intuition has been responsible for ground-breaking philosophies and inventions of the past; and will certainly play a crucial role in the future for great leaders, philosophers, philanthropists and inventors. And this is why, too, intuition cannot simply rest on the laurels of misconceptions that some may have. As an instantaneous suggestion of the mind - intuition is the inner, subconscious voice of reasoning that provides individuals with a "knowing" of what is to come, and how to appropriately respond to any given situation or encounter. Many a successful entrepreneur, rescuer or pioneer have seen life's challenges; and have been able to adapt to ever-changing pathways with a specific level of intuition, and by allowing this emotional and mental tool to be their guide on their journey. Are you allowing your intuition to be your guide or your nemesis? When you stop sweating the small stuff, and begin embracing the larger part of your Divine self that is your intuition, you begin to see a remarkable transformation in your life, a heightened sense of awareness and enlightenment, and an overall improved state of emotional, mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing. In other words, if you truly apply your intuition in positive ways, your ability to manifest your life's dreams is just an inclination away from creating the destiny you would like to achieve in your life. We’re so inundated with overstimulating input from modern life that simply stopping for a while and experiencing what nature has to offer tends to invoke deep relaxation, and a healing response in the body. It’s as if part of us has been on hold, just waiting for the opportunity to open up and relax. Nature can be the doorway.
