What to Do When Your Money-Making Muscle Seems Broken

I feel like my writing muscle is broken… (Yes for me, my money making is related to my content and honey, if you are in business then so is yours!)

I cannot reach the flow and stay in there…

I keep starting a post, stopping a post and I cannot seem to make it flow…

And so here I am talking about the fact that I don’t know what to talk about…

And somehow hoping that it will be enough for today to not have much to say… (I kinda know that once I push past this post, flow will be restored!)

To feel stuck and unsure…

And to show up as me…

Well, truth be told, I am always showing up as me…

Who else could I be…

I tried the whole being a fake ‘guru’ thing and it kept me disconnected from my community and so…

Now, I am just me…

And you know what, the more ‘just me’ I am …

The more fun I have…

The more money I make…

The less time is wasted in over thinking…

The more work I get done…

Because I am me showing up and telling you what I feel…

And in the middle of that, my people will probably see themselves and see that if I can do all that I do then so can they…

And even as I write that last sentence there, I remember again why I even started blogging…

Which was on my mum-in-business site which no longer exists…

I started it when I started my property / real estate business…

I had decided from the outset that it would be a success and so I decided that I would share my journey with other mothers and anyone else who wanted to listen and inspire them with my wins and my failures and my journey…

Because again if I could do it, then so could they…

And I also wanted a way to keep myself accountable…

My pride would never allow me to quitbecause I had announced I was on my way!

I still remember the fears I went through…

I probably never wrote about them all that clearly because well… I though I had to be a winner all the time…

But actually, the more you win, the more you realise that people just want to know what it is like to go from not winning to winning…

They want to know that it is possible…

Because sometimes the dark times in business are pretty darned DARK…

And there is a tendency to think that you are alone in feeling the darkness…

And you are not.

Any successful person will tell you about the dark times…

I certainly try to tell you to keep moving forward…

To keep showing up and being the warrior champion you are, despite the dark times…

Yes, success always looks glossy when you are there…

Or when you are looking from what can only be called teh despair of being at the beginning when yuo already want to have won…

And you can stare at people in their 10th year of business and wonder why it feels so hard to you in your first, second, third year…

Or maybe, you have been in business for more than ten years but you made the mistake of redoing your first year n business over and over again and so ou never grew…

And now the business is contracting and you feel like the biggest idiot on the lanet for not actively growing your business deliberately when things seemed easier…

Whatever stage you are in, you can convince yourself that no one could ever have gone through what you are going through…

But surely you know that one of the major reasons you resonate with me, is because you sense that I get you…

And I do!

I have walked that path and I still walk the path…

I have made horrid mistakes…

Got myself into incredible amounts of debt…

EVEN AFTER GETTING MYSELF INTO INCREDIBLE AMOUNTS OF DEBT…

And yet, I kept walking…

I will probably walk the narrow path until I die…

Yes, money gets easier but the desire to grow, to expand, means that there will be days when I go through what seems to be the darkness as I expand to the next level…

And as we know the DARKNESS FEELS VERY REAL at times…

Well, I have managed to ramble for more than 700 words - I feel like I should give you a lesson or two…

2. YOU ARE NOT ALONE
3. THE MONEY SITUATION GETS EASIER IF…
4. YOU DO THE WORK OF BRINGING IN NEW LEADS DAILY
5. COMMUNICATE DAILY WITH YOUR AUDIENCE IN SOME WAY
6. STOP BUYING INTO THE LIES THAT EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS SUPER-EASY
7. YOU ARE HERE FOR A REASON
8. YOU ARE BECOMING STRONGER AS YOU GO THROUGH THE DARKNESS
9. DON’T RUN FROM PAIN OF EXPANSION
10. COMMUNICATE EVEN WHEN IT FEELS POINTLESS
11. BE YOURSELF VEHEMENTLY!
