Holi is one of the most amusing and colorful festivals in India! It is all about breaking free and letting your soul fill with joy and happiness! It’s just that one day you let your hair down and truly soak up in high spirits!
On Holi do not miss to play the color. Smear the bright colors or gulal onto your loved one’s back, arms and face and make them a walking rainbow! You can also use pichkaris to squirt the colored water. Enjoy the day by dancing and singing your heart out to the beat of the dholak. Any festival will have its own traditional delicacies. Holi’s traditional delicacies include Thandai – a creamy milk drink with nuts and spices; Badam Gulfi, Gujiya – The moon shaped sweets and much more!
You may celebrate Holi with you family or friends, be it your office, college or home, you should always be well dressed for the occasion.
Coming to the topic of what-to-wear on Holi, here are some cool tips to outshine the celebration!
To begin with, try to keep off from the heels for the day. Wear something comfortable for you to run around – go for sandals, pumps or sneakers whichever suits your outfit. Go for a subtle waterproof makeup with a sweet hairdo suiting your style. You can try avoiding free- hair and opt for a ponytail or a messy bun. For the accessories, choose simple jewelry rather than statement pieces and limit your accessories to a maximum of 3 pieces.
For the outfit, you can either stick to the traditional white anarkali salwar or choose to combine it with your favorite color, especially the bright ones like pink, blue, and red, yellow!
Here are some outfit ideas to rock your Holi!
• The desi-style bright Patiala with a short tunic would look just amazing for the Holi celebration.
• You can try a combination of palazzo with designer kurti, or palazzo with tight tanks or shirt.
• Floral combination shirt dress or short dress will look graceful and comforting.
• White color Anarkalis with a solid bright color bottom is also a great outfit.
