What way works?

It is hard to just show up… To just be you… To believe that you are enough… You want to dress it up… You don’t want anyone to see the real you… Because you don’t think they will like it… And so you ask questions like “How long should my videos be?” “How many words should I write in every blog?” “How frequently should I send an email?” You want to know the rules… The rules that will absolutely definitely work… And there really are none. You kinda know it but you are that person that will keep looking to see if you can see a common thread in those you consider more successful than you… And yet, at the same time, you desperately want to believe that you are enough – Just you, doing you. That maybe you can find a way that works for you. But you think that you have to pay your dues first and deep down, you don’t think you are enough and so the hunt continues… How many words? How many minutes? What images to use? When to use them? How many emails am I allowed to send? WHAT WAY WORKS? And you tone yourself down… You try to be what everyone wants. You try to be what the gurus say to be. And you hate it but you keep pushing at it because you are THAT person- the go getter type that usually obeys the rules and wins… Willing to jump through any hoop to get what you want and usually that works for you but this time, this business, it is demanding more than you know how to give. It is demanding that YOU, the real YOU show up… Because, deep down, that is what you want. A life, a business doing what you want to do with people you want to do it with, being you ALL THE WAY! You want that authentic and wealthy life! And you know you could have it but… WHAT WAY WORKS? You want someone to tell you the A and B that makes the C And they try to tell you… It is about you, showing up, being you, telling people what you think and believe, being free enough inside to allow them to love or hate you for who you really are and then telling the ones that stick around over and over again how you can help them… That is what works… But that is scary. And so you keep looking for some way to quantify it… Some magic bullet that does not need you to show up authentically… Because you are scared that NO ONE will like YOU… And you are done with not being loved, not being liked… You have enough of that in your private life… You don’t want it in the marketplace AS WELL… And so you try to pretend the wounds do not exist… You try to get past them and follow the rules But there don’t seem to be any rules, not really… Because when ever you try to just do what some guru told you to do, it does not work for you… You attract people who are not motivated to move their butts and buy something from you… And it feels like you are bashing your head against a brick wall… And it feels like they are confirming time and time again what you have always suspected – NO ONE LIKES YOU! But lets be honest, you know you have not been you. Not really. You have been a version of you and so you have attracted these crazy people into your world because they are what happens when you are anything other than you! But kudos for effort because you keep bashing your head over there – Sure that finally the wall will break down… Most would have quit by now and gone back to the mundane life where they can predict everything and never ever have to really stretch themselves… But you seem to the norms to be a glutton for punishment Really, you just want it all You are just a little scared to lay yourself on the line to get it all. And you keep looking for what way works by looking outside of you!!!!! Such a waste of time You KNOW what way will work… It will be the one that you discover by daring to show up every freaking day as you… Not the fake version of you! NOPE, that just leads to frustration and frankly, it is frustrating enough building a business without adding on the fact that you think you have to be something other than you and worry about silly things like word count. Communicate to get attentio Capture to build an audience Close to make sales Those are the basic rules… The nitty-gritty method that works for you, will be discovered by you. By you tapping into the internal wisdom within you… And daring to show up and do what you feel called to do without putting on a front and toning yourself down. You think you are asking ‘What way works?’ But your real question is “Will they like me?” And honey, yes. Your perfect people, the ones you are called to serve, yes they will. But for now, forget that. Courageously say what you really think… Do what you really want to do… You will not need to perform for your people! It will just be you, BEING you! It is time to fight for and to deliberately design the life you are born to live Because you want to!
