I heard Fitness Guru, Bob Greene, ask Oprah that question one day (a few years ago). I stopped to think about how I would answer the question.

At the time, I didn't have an answer! That made me feel very sad and I vowed, in that moment, that I would make some changes and begin to add, and feel, more joy.

Last art, we spoke about the value, and benefits, in writing down your goals. I know, for a fact, that many people resist that habit, for whatever reason. Well, there are other ways of 'writing down your goals'; one of which is to create a Vision Board. Some people refer to it as a dream board.

A Vision Board is simply a collection of pictures that represent your goals and dreams. Instead of words, use photos and pictures out of magazines. In addition to photos, I add affirmation statements.

For example, from my Life Balance Wheel, I am focusing on 3 spokes right now: Fitness, Finances and Fun. I have photos cut out, along with affirmation statements, and have those taped to a very colorful piece of Bristol board. That Vision Board is on my office wall and I look at it each day. I take the time to really look at it, at a minimum 2x each day, and visualize my life 'being/feeling' that which is represented on the poster board. It's a very powerful technique. Once you imprint on the subconscious mind that which you really want to have happen in your life, being very clear and specific and emotional about each item, you begin to attract those items. I know that skeptics will be saying: "Yeah, right!" Well, go ahead and be skeptical. This information is not for the skeptics; it's for people who are serious about living their life by intent, and with joy and purpose. I am living proof that these techniques work!

The key concept here is to imprint your goals in your mind, focus on that 2x each day (morning and night), and 'move towards that which you think about'. Your present thoughts determine your future. So, are you thinking about what you want in your life? Could you use a little more joy? Believe me, it's better than the alte
