The demand of dental implants is huge over the globe. American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons states “nearly 69% of people aged from 35 to 44 are found to have lost at least their one tooth in accident, dental disease or ageing. The elderly in an age of 74 and above are also found to lose a majority of their permanent teeth or even all in maximum cases”. Missing tooth is not problem, but living with it and facing some unwanted dental problems is certainly! Those were the days when people had to live with empty space in mouth, but modern dentistry has a lot to offer us now. Dental implants even from dating back in 1800s to an existing time have fantastically benefited us. All credit goes to the timely innovations. Let’s see key reasons why a majority of people approach the dental implants treatments. Advantages of dental implants: 1. Improved quality and durability The dental implants today are big different than yesterday. They are more high-tech, long-lasting and efficient. This treatment is now easy, painless and comfortable. An osseointegration (adaptation of implants with jawbone) is good. Recovery is pretty fast. With them, one can really resume their ability of speaking, chewing and smiling. 2. More to increase oral appearance Unlike dentures (that have much to compromise from surgical difficulty to uncomfortable use), the implants are very successful. They are easy in surgery in expert hands, not harmful to adjoining teeth structure and support teeth bone from collapsing (therefore improving a facial look). 3. Amazing smile line With a revived facial asymmetry, one will get a beautiful smile. Implants are considered to be the most accepted innovation to date in the cosmetic dentistry. More people who are fully or partially edentulous seem to have massively approached them and have been widely facilitated. 4. More successful than traditional dental treatments The success rates of dental implants are more than 95%.. With many other benefits of dental implants discussed above, they also seem to be coming over some recent dental procedures like dental bridge, crown, dentures and even root canal treatments. 5. The best option for edentulous people What to say about the dentures when they come with several difficulties like uncomfortable fitting, unwanted physical harms (e.g. mouth sores) or accidental slipping. Contrary to it, the dental implants are fixed, don’t slide when using and easy to clean and maintain. 6. Success has made them even more successful Don’t you think so? Today’s advanced cosmetic dentistry has a big success to share. With a tens of thousands of people benefiting from them over the world, the dental implants are the most sought-after treatment options at present. Science is well versed too improving their features time to time. With the digital era begun, the news is spread so rapidly, and the implants are also not kept behind from promotions. Their cost-effectiveness do also seem to be well justified with the best results. Let’s just hope our society to be more healthy and comfortable with such inventions!
