THE PROBLEM:

Walk into any office building in the world.
Take a look around.
You’ll notice that practically everyone is sitting at their desks, typing away on the computer, shuffling papers, taking phone calls…
If you were to take a survey you’d find that most people have already been sitting for at least 5-10 hours that day, maybe with a few short breaks.
That’s just depressing.
When you also consider how much time people spend sitting in the car, in front of the T.V., at the dinner table, and laying in bed for 6-8 hours every night…goodness gracious. It’s really quite shocking.
No wonder so many people have health problems.
Of course, you spend so much time at your desk for a good reason, right? I mean, you’re trying to be productive, get work done, and bring in the moolah to provide for your family.
Sitting at a desk for 7+ hours a day is a small price to pay to stay productive and keep your job.
Right?
Well, actually…
Your desk is absolutely destroying your productivity. No, “destroying” isn’t a strong enough word.
Your desk is killing your daily productivity.
Seriously. You’d be surprised at how dramatically your productivity is affected, just by sitting in the same place for hours on end.
But this shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Think of how tired and sick you feel after working for an entire day at your 9-to-5 job. This is a result of declining productivity, motivation, and energy. And all of it stems from sitting at your desk for too long each day.

THE SOLUTION:

The good news is that there is a fairly simple solution to “desk job syndrome”.
You ready for this?
Spend 10 minutes a day outside.
Seriously. That’s it.
You can ditch all of the negative effects of sitting at a desk for so long, just by taking 10 minutes to step outside, breathe, and enjoy Mother Nature. It might seem overly simplistic, but I can’t even begin to explain how much this has helped me.
Point in case…

HOW THIS HELPED ME:

Last year I went on an extended “writing marathon”, where I managed to write 8 books in 8 months. (http://www.amazon.com/author/marklmessick) As you can probably guess, I did a LOT of sitting at my desk, pounding away at my keyboard.
But my productivity didn’t suffer. Why?
Because every morning I would go outside to the very edge of my property (I live out in the countryside) and take 10 minutes to breathe deeply while I watched the sun rise above the mountains.
For those few short minutes I felt completely relaxed, and was able to leave behind all of the stresses and trials of every day life.
And then, when I had to return to the “real world”, I was able to take some of that peace and motivation with me. The result? I was able to sit at my desk and write like crazy for hours on end…and my productivity levels stayed insanely high for 8 months straight.

HOW THIS CAN HELP YOU

I am absolutely confident that this quick 10 minute technique can work wonders in your life, as it did in mine.
It’s so ridiculously simple, but so insanely effective.
It might seem like some sort of creepy naturist voo-doo magic or something, but I promise it’s not. It’s just a simple fact. Relaxing for 10 minutes outside each day can skyrocket your productivity and prevent “desk job syndrome”.
It doesn’t always take a major lifestyle overhaul to be happier and enjoy life more. Sometimes all it takes is a simple 10 minute tweak in your daily routine.
This can be that tweak that completely changes your life.
If you feel drained, tired, demotivated and just plain unproductive at the end of each day…try this simple 10 minute technique.
Believe me. You won’t be disappointed.
