The Call to Action Organization, brings up a very sober fact, “Did you know that the exit rate of young adult Catholic women from Catholicism is greater tha
Catholic men their age? In fact, millennial Catholic women are more likely than their male counterparts to report that they never attend mass. They’re deeply spiritual, but they yearn for equality and authenticity.”

Rome’s Disregard for Women’s Rights of Equality.

For these younger women, as well as for any other women in our Church, the hierarchy’s continuous non-ministry to women is sadly reflected by their continuing to ignore both the Scriptural words of equality as well as overlooking the actual teaching coming out of the Vatican II, Council.

The message that the Vatican is sending, to any women in the Church, is one of complete disregard for their God-given right of equality for them in our Church Today. What actually allows the hierarchy the very right to totally ignore Jesus’ words from the Bible in regard to women’s equality and gender in our Church.

Being a mother or grandmother, if you are currently raising a young girl in the Catholic Church, would the previously mentioned quote, get your attention? Might you, now start to really look at the issue of Women Priests in a totally new light?

Would you now allow the formerly closed lens on this issue, to reopen and perhaps begin to experience the above, “equality and authenticity” missing not only in your lifetime, but as well for your daughter’s future lifetime, and even beyond to your own grandchildren? Maybe, you are thinking will, how could I ever help to cause change here? Or I really do not know what to do, let alone where to go to get help on this? You will find an Addendum at the end of my book, “Scandal in the Shadows”, to help give you direction on this matter.

The Dark Ages Of Church History Continue on into our Present Day

It is one thing to have ludicrous rulings being initiated by men, back in the Dark Ages of Church History. The concept known as Churching, pertaining to women being unclean after having a child and their further need for purification was certainly such an example. I guess that these same men forgot how they entered the world through their unclean mother, it truly must have been a miracle that all of these men remained perfectly clean through this birthing process.

But now at our present time frame, we can’t simply laugh off this ongoing inequality of women’s actual rights in their Church. Gender equality is only extended to men period.

Medieval Beliefs still Rule On

Our hierarchy’s view of gender inequality is still operating out of medieval beliefs while being totally dismissive to actual Church Teaching and Scripture. The time is well overdue for Rome to be serving the People of God, rather than continuing to follow ideas coming out of the dark ages of Church History. Wouldn’t it truly be novel of them, to actually follow a Teaching from Vatican II, Council, from The Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World? This actually transpired during the lifetime of many of us reading this.
