Making a decision to work from home can be done for many reasons and can be either a full time career or a part time fill up. Whatever the reason, there is likely to be a real sense of freedom, as well as a sense of either apprehension or complete panic at the idea of what lies ahead. Both are very understandable reactions, and tend to reflect a persons own confidence and ability to work outside a more conventual company. Working from home can involve many jobs, but essentially two job types. One is the job that would normally be done in a company, but where employees are given a flexibility to work pretty much from anywhere, including home, and the other type is a job that has sort of grown up in the internet era, and is almost home grown, although it can be done in an office as well. Web site design is one of those jobs. It used to be thought of highly specialized and technical, and had a mystique around it. That has changed significantly in two areas, particularly. One is the rise of automated software and cms systems like Wordpress and Joomla, which are certainly learnable by anyone who know their way around a website. There is also a lot of training available both online and in colleges. Its also an ideal job to be done from home, which means your client base is potentially worldwide. The other thing to consider is that a lot of designers and programmers see the future in design around Facebook , twitter and phone apps. Whilst this may or may not be true, it doesn't in any sense diminish the need for individuals, non profits and company's to have their own website. The future market has hardly been scratched .
There are many different ways of getting work as a web designer, ranging from using existing contacts, to approaching small business's directly, to using websites like Elance etc. Whichever way you choose to approach getting business, remember that the first thing any potential client will do is to visit your website. If you are going to build one for them they want to see what you can do. Your own site needs two things. To be perfect, and to have a portfolio of clients showing what you are capable of doing. If your own site doesn't look great or has spelling mistakes, people will move on and you will not get a second chance.

If you live with an alcoholic you will almost certainly feel shame. Some people will experience it to a very high level others less so but almost everyone who lives with an alcoholic experiences it to some degree. You will probably feel anxious that people will discover your secret, that they will judge you and, inevitably, will find you unacceptable to be around decent people. Seeing it written down like that it probably seems stupid. How could anyone feel that.

Myth #1: Drug addiction is voluntary behavior. A person starts out as an occasional drug user, and that is a voluntary decision. But as times passes, something happens, and that person goes from being a voluntary drug user to being a compulsive drug user. Why? Because over time, continued use of addictive drugs changes your brain -- at times in dramatic, toxic ways, at others in more subtle ways, but virtually always in ways that result in compulsive and even uncontrollable drug use. Myth #2: More than anything else, drug addiction is a character flaw.
