When you worry, it uses up so much energy. Too much worrying paralyzes your ability to move forward. Think of worrying as a big black bottomless pit. Each time you worry about something, you take another step down into this pit. It is up to you how much time you spend there.
Everyone worries about something at one time or another. To help you see the effects of worrying, please check out these important links:

As you can tell by the links, that there are different types and degrees of worrying. Some people worry about money, about their loved ones, or their job status. These are things that you cannot control. Think about it, you went on an important job interview, you gave it your all, you looked impeccable and all your answers were on point. So you wait and worry. Nope, that’s not how it’s supposed to be. You go grab lunch or dinner with a friend, window shop, or go check out a game. You continue with life and not sit and worry about something you have no control over.
Another scenario is you pick up the phone and call a friend or family member and talk about the interview and about your fears about what might happen if you don’t get this job. Again, this is fear that is creeping in. After talking on the phone for an hour, you hang up. If you get the job, you are on top of the world. If you don’t get the job, you spend your time looking for another one. Either way, you have spent an hour of your precious time worrying. Think about it, an hour of your life spent worrying about something that you had no control over. How many hours, days, or months in your life have you given into worrying?
We can think about how much time we spend idle waiting at traffic lights all day. But we also need to stop and think about how much of our precious time is spent on worrying, needlessly. Our bills will continue to come, friends and lovers will continue to come into our lives, but they will also go. Stop worrying about what could have or would have been, and focus on right now. Each breath you take is important; it was 5 years ago, yesterday, and it is just as important right now. Don’t waste your time and energy on worrying. A lot of what we worry about we have no control over, so don’t let it control you.
"A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life."~Charles Darwin
