The world and everything in it is constantly changing. In a flash of a moment disease and calamity of every kind can strike.

According to the Bible there shall be wars and rumors of wars. Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdoms against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places – and so much more bad news. (Mat. 24: 6 – 11) But in the midst of these warnings, Jesus said: “See that ye be not troubled”

Now, it’s one thing to be foretold that what you’re witnessing today has been foretold. It’s quite another thing not to be troubled by it!

But, if Jesus tells you not to be troubled, then that He would also give you the means not to worry. After all, He promised that He would never leave you nor forsake you! But how can you possibly live in a world of chaos and obey His command not to worry?

As a student of the Bible, have you noticed that Jesus never demands anything without equipping you to do it? He has already prepared the way and fought the battle on the cross for it. In fact, as you continue reading Matthew 24, you will find the answer: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” (Mat. 24: 35)

Praise the Lord that He IS the Word:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (John 1: 1,3,4)

Phew. That takes the pressure off doing it all by yourself! That means that He is in complete control of everything that was made, and that if He says not to be afraid, then you can put all of your trust in Him to see you through anything!

Wow – that is real power. In fact, He upholds all things by the Word of His Power! (Heb. 1: 3) He is holding up all things by His Word – not by His Power! In other words, His Power is His Word! His word brought the universe into existence, His Word brought the Kingdom of God to earth, and He ‘walked the talk all the way to His resurrection!’

Every single word He spoke came to pass. He does not produce any power that is not already inherent in His Word! Everything natural or spiritual force in the earth is controlled by the Word He spoke to bring it into being.

That means that every promise He has for you, His child, is equally true. He promises that you will not be in need, that He is your provider, and even if you’re surrounded by death and destruction, you will not fear the evil. Why not? Because He is walking through it with you and covers you with His anointing! (Ps. 23)

If His Word is power, then use it every chance you get. It is your weapon. It’s the power of God at your very own disposal! It is powerful precisely because it’s not physical. It does not depend on the senses, or on your brain to figure it out. After all, your intellect is in the realm of the soul, which is totally dependent on the senses.

The Word of God is purely spiritual; the very Spirit of the Living God! There is no weapon that can destroy it! So use it by speaking what God says about you. He promises in His Word that you were healed. That means it is so. Do not allow your senses to tell you what’s the truth. They only touch the physical realm, and the more you speak what you feel, the worse your condition will become.

Instead of saying that you’re so sick, go ahead and prove the Word of His Power and speak it over your situation. There is wonder working power in the Word of God! Use it every chance you get. It is your heritage!

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper… This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.” (Isa. 54: 17)

It seems rather odd to refer to any of what follows as secrets. For one thing, the word “secret” implies that something is hidden and the wisdom below is anything but secret. In some form or fashion, you could find these in virtually any spiritual tradition. Second, “secret” implies that the spiritual wisdom that would lead one to the life he/she really wants is really only accessible by a few. And, the unfortunate tendency is not to regard your self as one of the select few. But, of course, you are.
