You are a center of influence. You are a nucleus. Everything you think, feel, say, and do has a ripple effect. Your effect ripples outward and affects the world. You affect the people in your life--in your family, in your workplace, in your community--you have an effect.

Unfortunately, most people in the world don't see this. We tend to see ourselves, as human beings, as a center of attention. Our focus is on what other people are doing to us, or on what others should be doing for us. This makes us victims. We become victims of life, victims of our relationships, and victims of situations.

As a center of influence the focus is reversed. The focus is: what effect am I having on the people around me? How are they receiving me? When I look back at a situation that has occurred, instead of blaming and complaining about someone else, I ask: How did I contribute to that situation? How did I affect the person I was talking to or engaged with?

As a center of attention you are focused on what others are doing to you, or on what others should be doing for you. As a center of influence, you know you have an effect.

As a center of influence I have power, because I can change the source of my effect. I can change my thoughts and my behaviors. As a center of attentio
I am powerless, because I cannot change what other people are thinking, feeling, saying, or doing. As a center of influence I am truly an adult. I take 100 % responsibility for my thoughts and my behaviors.

I take 100 % responsibility for the stories that are playing in my head. I question those stories. I question my assumptions. I focus on getting to the truth. As a center of attentio
I am completly involved in my stories. "You did this to me!" "You should have done this for me!" As I am so involved in my story, I can't see what is going on, and I can't see what to do. My only choices involve how I can manipulate the situation to get what I want..

As a center of influence it is not about manipulation. It is about true power. I am powerful. You are powerful as a center of influence. The choice is up to you. What will it be? Will you be a center of attention or a center of influence? Will you choose to be a child or an adult? Will you be a victim or a victor? You have it in you. You are a center of influence.
