Love is not logical, but when you choose a partner, it is good to have things in common other than desire. This is a time to weigh the pros and cons of your partnership. If you share common interest, go for it. Don’t force it to work. If not, there are other fish in the sea. When someone tells you who they are, take them at their word. Now is not the time to indulge in a fantasy. No matter what, in this case the facts are the facts.
Explore the new energy that is gathering between you and your partner. It is not a moment for certainty but rather for discovery and curiosity. You don’t yet know if this will last forever, so allow yourself to explore who you are and what is reflected back to you. Some relationships are meant to educate you about yourself. The things you need, your likes or dislikes, and what values are important to you? You are in a critical phase of your relationship that is not to be dismissed or hurried.
Take the time to examine what you are giving energy and attention to in the back of your mind. If you’re obsessing about being right; about old resentments or failed expectations about people, these will be the source from which you create. Take heart, for your Higher Power will never desert you and is always waiting for you to remember the sacred partnership you share. Turn away from other sources of power that don’t serve your highest good.
When you’re confident and happy in your skin, you are ready for deeper, more intimate relationships. You have nothing to prove right now. You are completely yourself and can handle anything. You’re ready to give and receive from the heart. This is a beautiful place to be.
When you or someone else becomes too rigid, you lose the access to growth and untapped potential. Loosen up, open your mind and heart, and see if a more flexible approach feels better. Rigidity will set you up for a fight where there only be losers and no winners. Meet in the middle and allow Spirit to inspire you and open you up to new ideas.
