YOUR SUMMER 2016 FORECAST: The Crack in Everything Is Getting Bigger All the Time

Dear ONE,

Just as ever increasing earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are creating bigger cracks in the Earth these days, so too are the higher frequency galactic energies now bombarding the planet, creating bigger cracks in each and every one of us, whether we’re consciously aware of it or not.

Is this good news or bad news? Well, time will tell, as it always does, but, in my view, these accelerating energies, which I’ve called “the Quickening” for years, are heralding the next Great Age in the evolution of human consciousness. If we look around us, we can surely see the major split in the mass consciousness between those who are opening to these energies and the Light and those who aren’t yet out of fear and ignorance.

So while we can expect some “bumps in the road” as the next Great Age moves in with increasing velocity, it’s important not to indulge in the wasted energy of worry, anxiety or, what I like to call, metaphysical angst, as it will all even out over the next few millennia. Taoists maintain a very long range perspective on the Earth Game:).

The first stage in this consciousness evolution is to allow the Quickening to “encourage” us to crack open and allow our wounds to open and rise to the surface to be healed on all levels—karmic, mental, emotional and physical—so there will be more room for Light to flow in.

In the Japanese art form of Kintsukuroi, the philosophy is to mend the cracks in broken things with gold, thus making what has been broken even more valuable than before. So too will the buried cracks in us, healed by excavating and embracing our woundedness, be the alchemical gold that transforms our heart/minds (Taoists don’t differentiate) and makes us that much stronger.

In the ancient Tantric stories of India, the eighty-four Mahasiddhas (enlightened Ones) include beggars and thieves, prostitutes and hunters, madmen and morons, who all achieved realization by utilizing their everyday occupations as their method of practice. There are fearful ones who became enlightened when they cracked open by moving through their fear into courage, and talkative ones who became enlightened when they cracked opened by moving though their talking into silence.

In fact, on the Tantric and Dzogchen paths of Buddhism, our neuroses and personalities are considered, not just ornamental display, but, in reality, our vehicles for awakening. Utilizing these spiritual practices means that, not only do we not repress, judge or distract ourselves from all parts of our being, but rather fully dive into our full range—wounds and warts and all—as the perfect unenlightened mirroring of our innate, realized state of Being.

The only way out is through, whether it be our body karma, neuroses, emotional wounds or mental afflictions. Loving ourselves and all others is not really possible without this unconditional acceptance without judgment of all our broken bits as the missing piece to experiencing unity consciousness.

Think about this:

We’re all wounded, or we wouldn’t need to inca
ate to heal our karma. (Except those few rare souls who are inca
ate Enlightened Beings, who are already broken completely open.)
We’re all mentally ill; it’s just a question of degree. (That is, unless we’re experiencing Unity Consciousness without relapsing into duality at any time.)
Since we’re all pure Consciousness in disguise as imperfect human beings, doesn’t it make sense that our imperfections are the perfect vehicle for realizing our innate enlightened state? Cosmic humor indeed!
Once we’ve experienced the truth that samsara (relative truth) and nirvana (absolute truth) are inseparable, which comes from our realization of the inseparability of our neuroses from our innate enlightened state, there is really nothing left to do but commit to the path of the bodhisattva.

The Bodhisattva Vow:

“Beings are numberless, I vow to awaken with them.

Delusions are inexhaustible, I vow to end them.

Dharma gates are endless, I vow to enter them.

Buddha's Way is unsurpassable, I vow to become it.”

“With a wish to free all beings
I shall always go for refuger
To the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha,
Until I reach full enlightenment.
Enthused by wisdom and compassion,
today in the Buddha’s presence I generate
the Mind for Full Awakeningr
For the benefit of all sentient beings.

As long as space remains,
As long as sentient beings remain,
Until then, may I too remainr
And dispel the miseries of the world.”

Or, in other words: “ONE BEING, billions of faces. Everything I do for you, is always done for myself too. How could it not be so?”

In closing, with spiritual Neptune stationing retrograde on June 13th for its annual five-month cycle, encouraging us to go within, and awakener Uranus stationing retrograde on July 29th, inspiring us with lightning bolts of inspiration to heal and grow, this Summer is a prime season to embrace all parts of ourselves as the path.

What we have always been seeking exte
ally on our spiritual quest has been inside us all along, and, not only that, it’s the parts of ourselves we’ve been avoiding the most because we viewed them as weak or bad or unacceptable that are the alchemical gold which we need to integrate and transmute to experience our Oneness with All That Is. As within—so without.

As microcosms of the macrocosm, we all contain the inner Void, and embracing this as well, opens the innermost compartment to our true nature. Moving through the fears of dissolving or annihilating the little self in the Void is the key to experiencing the big bang of new birth and creation as we own our higher identities as cocreators with the Divine. This can only come when we experience all forms spontaneously and endlessly arising out of our own inner emptiness as the ground of Being.

This is the next level of the Earth Game that the Quickening is taking us to:

1. Loving Life, just as it is, outside of linear space/time in the Ete
al Now.

2. Embracing the nature of the Universe as a continuous motion machine of expansion, growth and change.

3. Being at One with the Flow of Life, i.e., the Tao.

The only way to get where we’re all ultimately going anyway (and, in absolute reality, never left:)) is through the big crack in the center of our Beings which grows bigger, wider, deeper and more expansive the more we focus on it, until all that remains is pure Being, Consciousness and Bliss. (Satchitananda in Sanskrit.)
