What is Reiki?
When I first read about Reiki in a magazine several years ago, I was instantly intrigued and decided that one day I would learn this. But it took over fifteen years before the opportunity arose and I could make that dream come true. Beginning of January this year (2010) I was able to take part in a course given by Reiki Master Christine Brække here in Oslo. Over one intensive week-end I received the first initiations and advanced to the First Degree.

Ask your Guides
Sonia Choquettes book Ask your Guides was the first book I read on the topics of guides. The idea of guides was not new to me; I had heard of all kinds of guides, from angles to animal spirits. I find this topic fascinating but I never new how to get in touch with these guides. In this book the author has given directions on how to do this, and the directions are given in such a way that I was able to follow them with success.

What is the sixth sense?
I looked up the definition of the word sense on Wikipedia. It says: Senses are the physiological capacities within organisms that provide inputs for perception. Most of us tend to think of the five traditional senses when we discuss senses; sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. This classification is attributed to Aristotle. The senses, how many there are, and how they operate is still debated amongst the neuroscientists. The disagreement mainly roots in differing definitions of what constitutes a sense.

Messages from the Past
When I was considering what content to choose for my weekly newsletter and deciding on the layout for the newsletter etc. I decided to include a spiritual message. It also was quite natural for me to choose to connect with an energy in the spirit world and channel messages from this source. For me this was also a chance to practise on channelling messages in this way. So I sat down and meditated and asked for guidance. I asked for an energy of great wisdom and high loving frequency who wanted to share its knowledge with the subscribers of my newsletter, to connect with me.
