BARBARA CARRAWAY

I attended NC State University, earning a Batchlors Degree in Liberal Arts; and a Master's Degree in Education- (at the same time, earning a self-aclaimed, highly

participatory Doctorate degree in alcoholism) while working full-time with the

North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Retired there in 1985 with 30 years of service.

Have a vast experience and knowledge of addiction from family of origin, personal, and professional life. Have twenty -five years of recovery from alcohol addiction; 26 years from nicotine; and 22 years recovery from Codependency. I attended the first eight-day program in the Nation for Adult children of alcoholics and Codependency, sponsored by Onsite--Sharon and Dr. Joe Cruse.

Following this experience, Dr. Joe and Sharon recommended that I participate in

an Internship program sponsored by the Caron Foundation Family Program (formerly known as Chit Chat Treatment Program) in Wernersville, Pa. Successfully completing this program, I developed an outpatient program known as Adventures in Recovery in Stuart, Florida. Later becoming exempt from Florida liscenses due to the Spiritual

nature of the work; becoming Adventures in Spirituality and Recovery. Studying with the Alliance of Divine Love, I became an Ordained Minister to provide spiritual counseling helping people heal from deep emotional wounds. Most of the work is done on a one-on-one intensive and a couple of times a year, I facilitate a Breaking Free

Intensive weekend with small groups.

Also facilitate groups doing intensive healing therapy in many different locations.

Am currently endeavoring to write of my life's experiences and lessons.
