Emotion - The Key to Being, Doing and Having
I spend my time generally between two places and I have come to notice something significant in my personal and professional (coaching) life. Winter, especially late winter in (Copenhagen) Denmark is harsh. This is in great contrast to my home in San Diego, Califo ia (USA) where the Sun is shining or at least it is bright most days, people are out and about in the winter months exercising, taking classes and visibly energetic. Back here in Denmark, a beautiful little country in which to visit or live, I should add, the winter is challenging.

Today's Economy: Crisis or Opportunity?
Everyday the Internet, television, radio and newspapers report a worsening economic situation and people read or watch while hyperventilating and getting more and more depressed. That is, most people. However there are some who are sitting back and viewing this situation with calm. But they are not glued to the bad news day in and day out.

The Dating Dance: Games vs Boundaries
Despite the movies and television we see, there is no need to play games when dating. However we do need to set boundaries or limitations. Game-playing (unhealthy) and boundary-setting (healthy) are two different things. Because the Law of Attraction says we get what we focus on (what we put our energy into), we need to focus on healthy relationships that do not involve games. Game playing is intended to manipulate another person to achieve a specific result. Both the person who initiates the game and the person who participates in it are weakened.

Living the Dream!
Living the Dream! You hear people say it and you read the words of others who write about it – but are you DOING it? Are you living the dream? More specifically, I have two questions: first, do you have a dream or dreams, and second, are you ready to live your dream(s)?

Success Requires Action
"Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly" ~ Robert F. Kennedy “Success is connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.” ~ Conrad Hilton If you want accomplish anything in life you must commit to it and commitment means taking action. Those who sit on the sidelines and do not achieve their goals in life are the ones who choose not to commit. Those who do not commit are the ones who choose not to ACT.

Thriving in the New Normal - It's a S.N.A.P.
It was the best of times and well, the best of times, to borrow from Charles Dickens. It was the Age of Excess. During the Age of Excess, generally from the 90s until recently, people were able to buy their dream home in upscale neighborhoods without even having to say how much they earned every month. This worked out fine until the recession arrived and the fiscal burden of a mortgage that could no longer be afforded was unable to be escaped. People maxed out their high-limit credit, their spirit and their relationships.

Practice Meat
A few times a year, every year, I brush off the patio furniture in the back yard, remove the cover from the propane gas barbecue and wipe it down. My friends begin to arrive; we break out the wine and beer, chips and salsa, deviled eggs and the pickle tray. I open the valve to the propane tank and then gingerly turn the knobs on the grill and standing back as far as I can, poke the button to ignite the flames. When I feel that sense of relief in the next few seconds that I am not on fire nor have I singed off my eyebrows, I do my best to adjust the flames and close the lid on the grill.
