A cum laude graduate of Kean University in NJ, Barry Cohen has marketed consumer products for 30 years, with an emphasis in the natural category for the past 10 years. He has spoken at trade shows and conferences from coast to coast, including the Natural Products Expo East, the Concert Industry Consortium and the Radio Advertising Bureau, to name a few. His first book, 10 Ways to Screw Up an Ad Campaign, (Adams Media, Sept, 2006) has been the subject of numerous interviews and profiles in the trade press as well as the popular press. His second book in the 10 Ways series, a guide for startups, is slated for publication in November of 2009. Cohen also writes columns for media trade magazines, and has served on inudstry symposia panels. He also holds several creative awards from both local and national competitions.

Cohen places primary emphasis on producing a quantifiable return-on-investment, preferring to drive traffic and sales, rather than devoting his clients' often limited funds to branding campaigns. For those with worthy breakthrough products, he also helps them secure retail distribution. In some cases, he has even helped clients pursue financing. An innovator, he just launched Noozbuzz.com, a nationwide audio news release service that allows companies and organizations to proliferate a newsworthy message within a matter of hours.
