Get Organized: Put Procedures In Place
I love the acronym of SYSTEM, Save Your Self Time Energy and Money. While it is about finding the most efficient way to do things, it is also about knowing specifically how things are done. In other words, you need documentation of the step-by-step process or procedure of how your systems are done. The best way for documenting this is by having a procedure manual for each job position within your company.

Establishing systems is a key component to organization. A system for planning your to-do’s is critical. I recommend utilizing a two-list system. This system comes in handy especially on those days you are bombarded with things from all angles! The two-list system includes 1) a master list; 2) a daily list. For the master list, I suggest a spiral notebook or steno notebook.

Grand Central Station
Grand Central Station is one of New York City’s most famous landmarks. It is also a very busy hub of activity, serving nearly 575,000 visitors a day. Kitchens are the Grand Central Station of most homes in America. Multiple meals and snacks are prepared in home kitchens day-in and day-out. Because of this, it is critical that the kitchens are well functioning. Appliances, dishes, food, utentsils and the dreaded plasticware and lids all need well thought out designated homes.
