Conquering Stage Fright with Emotional Freedom Technique
People who perform in front of audiences can have very special challenges. For some, it’s just a few jitters but for others, stage fright can be debilitating – or at least harrowing. There is plenty to worry about: dry mouth and shaking hands to begin with. And what about that difficult passage, what about forgetting entire passages, what about hitting the high notes? And what happens if we have to deal with all of these worries in the context of an important audition or if we’re playing or singing before musicians with intimidating credentials?

Ducks in a Row: Power Lies in Aligning Your Heart and Head
Is there something more powerful than brain power, when it comes to making your business work? So often, people are raised to think their way through most situations, with the implication that we should stop feeling so much and use our heads more. I love to read and ponder what the great philosophers like Socrates, Plato, Nietzsche have to say about the truth of the human condition. But we're forgetting one of the most fundamental truths: We have to have our hearts and our brains in literal harmony to be our most powerful and productive (and human) selves.

It is never too late to become who you could have been. -- George Eliot
I help people reach their peak performance through a physiologically based method called Emotional Freedm Technique (EFT). This isn’t crunchy granola or crystals — this is a solid, sound, real-life process that is backed by scientific research. It works quickly and easily and once you’ve learned how to do it, you can use it on your own.
My heart and soul are in this work because I know how devastating high performance anxiety can be.
Growing up, I used to hide in the choir loft so I couldn’t be seen while singing a solo. I hated the limelight and hoped I wouldn’t be noticed when I was the high scorer in basketball or when I earned honors in other areas.
Are you one of those people who hides your talents and accomplishments? Whose knees shake and voice quails if you have to present a speech or compete in your sport or ask the boss for a raise? Are you someone who thinks you just can’t do it (or do it “well enough”) — whatever “it” is? Imagine what you could do if you didn’t have that thought in mind.
I have helped performing artists, athletes and business men and women get past their blocks and achieve the performance they've dreamed of. One of the greatest rewards of my work is to see these burdens lifted and watch people as they grow into themselves and their talents. I feel privileged to be engaged in this work.
