In 1995 I built my first website using MS Frontpage. Most of my early websites were made to generate ad revenue and some affiliate sales. In 2009 I turned my website skills to be used for building network marketing websites for lead generation. By 2012 I was learning how to use Wordpress and started phasing out my old outdated Frontpage websites. The new Wordpress sites were mostly made to target the weight loss product industry of several network marketing companies. My websites were getting 1st page rankings on the major search engines which was a blessing at first. The sites I had built that were a blessing at first turned into a big problem as other marketers complained that I had cornered the market with 4 websites on the first page of Google for the primary search terms of one network marketing company.

To make a long story short the main company passed new policies that prohibited websites like the ones I had made. Representatives could no longer have more then 1 website that would have to be approved by the compliance department. All of my web sites were ordered to be taken down in 2017. This started happening throughout the industry as network marketing companies started changing how they let their reps market their products.

I have just about gotten out of the network marketing industry and now trying to re-invent myself. Applying and being approved to be a writer for SelfGrowth is one of the steps I have made to put me in a better position as an author. This is all new to me and I hope that my past experience will show in the articles I will be writing. I had gotten really good at SEO in Rockwall Texas. This was how I managed to get 4 websites to rank on the first page of major search engines.
