My Night with the "Beatles"; A Time to Reminisce
I love being a baby boomer. We grew up at a time where the birth of Rock and Roll came into our lives and maxi dresses, bell bottoms and “Huckapoo” shirts were the rage. The word “computer” was not even a word in our vocabulary until early adult hood. But thank goodness for the internet because our generatio LOVES to reminisce! I see this mostly on Facebook as my compadres from college and high school love to muse over days gone by.

A Mother Daughter Retreat
The one thing I never did with my mom as a young adult was to go away-- just the two of us to have uninterrupted mother daughter time. And while I suppose it was indicative of our parents' generation (as I really don’t know anyone of my peers who did those type of things with their mothers), I am left to believe it simply wasn’t on their radar. Fortunately, times have changed and these types of multi-generational outings including grandmother, mother, daughter have become more popular.

And I am not talking about our mid-section!

I Wanna know...
I Wanna know… How do you let go? As many of us “younger” Baby Boomers are getting ready to send our children off for another year of college, or perhaps for the first time, it just never seems to get any easier… at least for me. When my son decided to transfer from a more local college (60 miles away from home) to a school 800 miles away, I knew from the get-go, it was going to be a challenge for me. I had become accustomed to his frequent visits, as he was only one hour away and I always loved seeing him walk through that door with laundry and all!
