One of the biggest struggles with dieting is fighting the feeling of being hungry – or so it seems. Many times we say, or think, we are hungry when in reality we aren’t hungry at all. When I think of the times I struggle with this perceived “hunger” I think of the ...

Motivation is Overrated
If I had a dime for every person that says they want to lose weight but are just not motivated - I’d be worth millions. Over half the conversations I have with people are on the subject of motivation, but motivation shouldn’t determine success. Interestingly enough, we all have ...

6 Ways to Add Power to Your Power Walks
Many people are under the impression their walks are much more powerful than they are. Here are 6 ways to add more power to your power walks. 1.) Walk faster. Walk as fast as possible without breaking into a run, taking long strides with bended knee as if almost lunging forward. Your arms will have to swing hard to help you keep this pace. Don’t waste time and money on workouts that don’t 'work out'
During a time where money is tight, there is an interesting fitness trend: People don’t want to waste money on workouts that don’t work. People want results. Sure, people have always said they wanted results, but when money was free flowing people justified going through the motions with little results. Tips to Recovering and Preventing Common Injuries
Few people are lucky enough to never experience some type of back pain in their lifetime. I know what back pain can do to someone - and it’s not fun by any means. A few years ago I suffered from a muscle spasm after a shoulder workout. The spasm was yanking on my discs and throwing me all out of whack. Since I was leaving on vacation the following day, I immediately went running to Dr. Chris Stepanek at Total Health of Vero Beach, Florida for help. This was my first encounter with a Chiropractor and I was impressed to say the least.

Favorite Quotes & Thoughts from Bonnie Pfiester
"There is no magic pill or short cut to living healthy. It takes a little work - but just like any great thing, it is worth it!"
"Dieting is like checks and balances. We make deposits with food and withdrawls with exercise. We need to learnt to be accountable for what we eat like we are accountable for what we spend."
"Fitness is not that complicated. Unfortunately many weight loss and fitness companies just want you to think you can't do it without their help. It's simply not true."
"I wish I could say exercise is all people need to lose weight, but weight loss is more about diet than it is exercise. Just think - you can walk 3 miles to bu 300 calories each day for seven days and in one meal you can eat 2000 calories, erasing all your hard work. It's much easier to eat 1,000 calories than it is to burn it."
