My name is Bruce Cryer and in the late seventies I shifted my career direction from being an actor on Broadway to researching and teaching innovative approaches to maximizing health and organizational performance. With thirty years of experience in business management, human performance and organizational change I now hold the position of President and CEO of HeartMath LLC. Along with an exceptional team of professionals, I helped to launch the Institute of HeartMath with founder Doc Childre. One of my roles was to design the Inner Quality Management (IQM) suite of programs, which helped us enter the global corporate arena with projects at Motorola, BP, McKinsey, Johnson & Johnson, Boeing, Cathay Pacific Airways, and the World Bank. For the past several years we have expanded our work in health care with projects at Mayo Clinic, Duke University Health System, Sutter Health, Kaiser Permanente, and dozens of health systems across the U.S. Doc Childre and I co-authored the book From Chaos to Coherence: The Power to Change Performance, as well as “Pull the Plug on Stress” which was published in Harvard Business Review. Since 1997 I have been on the faculty of the Stanford Executive Program and have also lectured at the Stanford Sloan Program and the Stanford Executive Briefings series, the University of Califo
ia at Berkeley Haas Business School, the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, and the Nanyang Polytechnic University School of Business Management in Singapore. I frequently deliver keynote presentations to corporate audiences such as the Global Institute for Leadership Development, International Society for Performance Improvement, Institute for Health and Productivity Management, Young President's Organization (YPO), The Executive Committee (TEC), and several conferences on Emotional Intelligence. Leadership Excellence Magazine named me one of the Top 50 Thought Leaders in Personal Excellence in 2007. I look forward to meeting you.
