My Lower Back is Killing me!
Low back pain is the #1 reason for doctor visits in America. Did you know that according the Jou al of the AMA that most back surgeries are deemed a failure. Not a very high success rate. Most low back pain comes from the muscles in your hips, not your back. Chiropractic may not help because, even if the body is out of alignment, the muscles may pull your structure back out of place negating the work of your chiropractor. In fact, the muscles are so powerful in your back that they can pull your vertebrae to one side and setting off a bulging disc or pinch nerve.

Are you tired of suffering from plantar fasciitis?
Many Americans suffer with pain in their feet, especiilay their heels. We go to doctors looking for relief. Unfortuntely you usually get some othotics, a heel lift, medications, or an injection of cortizone. The problem is everyone goes to the site of the pain. I know it makes logical sense, but in reality it is wrong thinking. If you look at the anatomy of the lower leg and foot you will find 4 major muscles running from the back of your knee, around your heel and out to your toes. 5 Myths of Stretching
#1 The Longer you hold the stretch, the better- Traditionally most people who stretch will hold a stretch for 20-30 seconds. Why do they do this? They were taught by a professional, or friend, who said by holding this stretch for 20-30 seconds you will thoroughly stretch the muscle. I used to be one of those guys. The truth is, holding a muscle for more than 2-3 seconds actually will shorten the muscle. As you hold the muscle beyond the 2-3 seconds, the muscle begins to fight back and resist. Much like when you are lifting weights. The muscle will feel hard and tight.

How to get started
The best place to start is to understand that correct stretching requires a different mindset from what we have learned in the past. In the past, strtching involved holding the stretch for long periods of time, using force to make the muscle stretch out, and stretch mutliples of muscle on each stretch.
Once you learn how use your brain to relax the muscle you will find that stretching is very relaxing and effective in freeing up the joints. This will improve your energy level, especailly if you are over 50 and increase your power at any age. Stretching correctly can reduce the need for most joint replacements, back surgeries, and typical injuries as we age. all stretxhing is, is teaching the brain you canmove a particular way. Once the brain knows that, the risk of injury goes away
Your brain is designed to protect you, ANy anticipation of pain will caues your brain to stop you.
