Carol Kivler

Carol Kivler, MS, CSP, CMT is a highly sought after professional speaker, author, international executive coach/consultant, and founder of Courageous Recovery. Through Courageous Recovery, she shares her story and advocates for those suffering from depression and mental illness. Carol’s high-energy and compelling keynote presentations change thinking and inspire participants to reach beyond the myths and stigma surrounding mental illness.

Carol is a consumer in recovery, who has successfully overcome 4 major bouts of clinical depression. She speaks to psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, counselors, medical/nursing students and to consumers. Carol has been speaking to the mental health field since 2001. She has presented Grand Rounds for over 18 audiences; spoken at over 20 nursing schools/nursing conventions and delivered more than 35 programs at consumer conferences.

Carol is on the APNA Consumer Advisory Panel, a member of the Nursing Sub-Committee of the ISEN and part of the ISEN’s Patient Advisory Committee.
