As a high school teacher for many years, Carolyn Shannon of Venting Creatively had to find ways to cope with stress, and to help her students handle life’s daily trials in more positive ways.
Further development of these techniques for herself and others led to Art from the Heart Adventures workshops in 1997, followed by Carolyn's first book of the same title.
Since then Carolyn has authored 3 more books ... a creative journal for children titled "What Really REALLY Bugs Me ... Sometimes', The 'Light'-er Side of Venting & “DRAWING” the Law of Attraction into Your Life for which she has also created hands-on interactive workshops for both individuals and groups.
Carolyn’ mission is to encourage self discovery & empower others to see that it is never too early or too late to look at their lives from a “different” view.
In September of 2008 Carolyn became the Niagara Region Chapter Leader for People in Connection an Online Networking Directory for which she holds a Monthly Breakfast Event in St. Catharines and a Monthly Lunch Meeting in Niagara Falls.

Venting Creatively makes room for more JOY!
I have many quotes I use often. My most favorite I found on a magnet stated "The past can not be changed but the future can be anything you want it to be." This is now my personal motto and has proven time and time again to be very true to me.
When I am preparing or perhaps over preparing for a speaking engagement or trying to control my life or environment in some way and things are not going as expected I repeat to myself the words "People plan, God laughs." This always lifts me out of my Ego and back into the Now.
Whenever I am going through a particularly long ordeal or time of limbo I always go back to the old standard straight form the Bible, "This too shall pass". And it always does.
However, the quote which is also the title to a book as well that best suits the work I do is "Feelings Buried Alive NEVER Die". It is my mission to help others as I have myself been helped to safely release the negativity picked up from others and generated by one's own thoughts as they happen so that they will be able to Look at Life from a "Different" less self and other destructive View.
