Hi, I'm Daria – In my experience as a Life Coach, I have helped people tune into their core values, discover the career they really want, adjust to a new phase of life (like empty-nesters), improve their relationships and follow their happiness. I am a qualified Life Coach and a Master Practitioner of NLP. My interest is in helping you to find the best in yourself. I’ve always been passionate about helping people bring out the best in themselves. I’m all for people helping themselves, and taking responsibility for their own lives.
I’m lucky to have met wonderful people on my path, that have helped me learn more about myself. Often they could see things in me that it took me years to discover and accept.
About 20 years ago, I had a wonderful yoga teacher who thought I had a lot to offer in the way of yoga teaching, and she suggested I take a two-year teacher training course. I began in 1984 and completed it in September 1986. I qualified well, I held a weekly yoga course where people regularly commented on how much help I was to them in improving their lives. But I doubted myself and my ability. So I gave up teaching.
I took a personal development course in 1986. It felt very good. I enjoyed the course and the various facilitators that helped us uncover and develop our best selves. After the course, I was asked to be a facilitator on future courses. I did, and was very successful. Students and fellow facilitators praised my work and skills. But still I doubted myself, and moved on and away from formal courses in personal development.
So I took an office job and worked my way through administration, librarian, training officer and still couldn’t find my niche.
In 1998 I took the brave step of chucking the "real" job and trained in holistic massage, followed by aromatherapy and then Indian head massage. I began to practise. I was finding my feet in the area I really loved. I was beginning to make a difference. I was helping people to help themselves. I was starting to believe in myself.
In 2003 I started looking around for something that would take me even closer to my goal. Then a variety of people and events (I don’t believe in coincidences) led me to life coaching. Talk about feeling like I’d come home! It was as if all the skills I’d been building up over the years were all drawing me closer and closer to life coaching.
The business of life coaching is about being someone’s personal support as you help them to uncover what they truly want in their lives and then being with them every step of the way as they set about achieving it. It is the most rewarding career I could imagine.
In 2004 I set up my own business - LifePotential - and have been coaching ever since. www.lifepotential.ie

Give Yourself a Good Talking To!
Maybe I should say “give yourself a GOOD talking to”! What’s your inner voice saying to you most of the time? Is it saying: “I’m a truly wonderful human being” or “I am worthwhile” or “I’m always good enough”? I’m guessing that, most of the time, it’s more likely to be “Oh no, I failed again” or “Loser” or “What can I do/say/think in order to be accepted and loved?” I’m not a psychologist, so I can’t tell you why we do it, but as a member of the human race I can vouch for the fact that we definitely do it.

3 Ways to Improve your Mood Instantly!
First of all: Laugh out loud! When was the last time you had a really good belly-laugh? I mean the one where you are shaking uncontrollably with laughter and the tears are streaming down your face? I'm guessing that, for most of us, it's been a while. When we grow out of childhood, there don't seem to be that many things we find uncontrollably funny. So let's go find some! Make a note of five things that make you laugh out loud. For me that would include: Laurel & Hardy movies; Tom & Jerry cartoons; Bob Newhart video clips, Monty Python and Irish comedia Dara O'Briain.
