David Feingold

I have a diverse background, which together forms a professional and personal Gestalt of sorts. My education includes a Bachelors in Art Education, a Masters in Visual Design, a Masters in Social Work, and a Doctorate in Disability Studies. The combination of my education, professional and personal experience, along with having a diagnosis of Bipolar ll Disorder, provides me with a positive and unique perspective on viewing and living with bipolar disorder. Since retirement from social work, I have dedicated my time to writing for Quora, wherei I answer questions posed relating to bipolar disorder. I also am an exhibiting artist that gives expression to the emotional component of having this challenging illness. One of the purposes of my art is to engender and build empathy for those dealing with a mental illness. In addition, I have written a book on the subject of stigma and mental illness, entitled, STIGMA: How society drives people with mental illness crazy. My website is: www.feinart.me
