Are You Willing to Change to Find a Job?
Technology has brought about a change in how we look at employment today. Problem is colleges still tell students to look for jobs with corporations, that no longer exist. Those jobs went out with the BABY BOOMER Generation. When employees went to work with Corporations back in the 50's, ...

What is an Advocacy Coach
Advocacy Coach is a term that we have not heard much, but this is a very important role that someone plays in the life of the disability community. Before the laws few people acknowledged that there is a disability community. Today, we're still on the outskirts looking in. People with disabilities still don't have opportunities in the workplace even though we have laws on the books today to guarantee us these rights. Especially now that there is 10% unemployment. The only option is to look to self employment.

The Effects of Child Abuse
The subject of child abuse has been around for many years, but for some reason only until the last few years has it been recognized as a real problem. Some forms of child abuse that lead to problems later in life are physical, emotional, verbal, incest, etc. When someone is abused as a young child their mind deals with this by creating multiple personalities, drug and alcohol abuse, and as adults you may become an abuser yourself. If you look back at the history of some convicts you will find they were abused as children.

Favorite Quotes & Thoughts from Davida Shensky
Success is my only option!
I became a disability advocate because I had to learn to fight for my rights and create opportunities for myself. Because they were few opportunities for people with disabilities when I entered the workplace I had to create my own opportunities. Today because of what is going on in the workplace people are having to create their own opportunities-- because of my experiences just makes me an expert in this field, and helping others to reach their maximum potential in life.
I had to learn to live without limits, because society was placing limits on me. People tend to put limits on themselves, because of they are replaying the tapes in their head, telling them who they are and what they should be. We need to learn to take control of our all own lives and be who we want to be.

Our company specializes in helping clients find their passion so they can find gainful employment in a field they really love where they could build a career and not just have a job. Jobs that existed 10 years ago do not exist today, jobs that exist today didn't exist 10 years ago, and there will be jobs in the future that haven't been invented yet because the technology is driving the job market today and unless people change their attitude about what a job is an embrace of technology they will be left behind.

How to get started
My philosophy is that until people are willing to change their attitude about what a job is today and accept that technology is driving the job market Bay will be left behind. When I entered the workforce 32 years ago there were few opportunities for people with disabilities in the job market and decided to create my own opportunity. Then I observed how the job market changed over the years. We have gone back to where we were 100 years ago. When the Europeans first came to this country in flux in the early 20th century, many took their wares and sold them on pushcarts on street corners. Today, we sell our services and products through websites or storefronts on the Internet so technically we have gone back to the small businessman the only difference being where we conduct today. 100 years ago people on street corners, today we do business from home using computers to sell our waiters and services which demonstrates how technology has changed the job market today.
