My name is Debbie Collins and I have a counseling practice in Montrose, CA which is called Counseling That Works.
I have been counseling professionally for over 25 years.
I am highly trained in a very unique form of personal counseling that helps a person to look at his own life and to improve his ability to confront and handle his problems in life.
I am a licensed pastoral counselor and I help individuals, couples and families.
I graduated from Northern Ilinois University in 1975 and then continued my studies of the human mind and spirit with the purpose of helping the able people of the world to become more able.
While counseling throughout the next many years, I have continued to study and improve my skills and abilities to help my fellow man.

In my pastoral marriage counseling practice, I receive many calls from couples who are desperately seeking help, but cannot afford counseling. There is a great need for help and relief for couples and families who are having trouble in their relationship, in their family and with finances.
I have helped many such couples, for free, but there is a need for much more of this help. I would love to be able to say, "Yes! come on in!" to every couple calling for help, but not having the means for such help. So, I created a page on www.youcaring.com to raise money to benefit low income couples and families in the Los Angeles area. The money raised will go towards assisting couples and families to receive free counseling services. My goal is to help 30 couples with 12 hours each of free counseling over the next year.
Once these people are helped and surviving better they will have the opportunity to "pay it forward" and donate for future couples to be helped. In this way, the program will be self-perpetuating, if I do a really good job getting these couples winning in their relationship and prospering financially.
