Watch Your Margins: Become Aware of Your Thoughts, Emotions and Actions to Create Desired Change

Last week, my son who’s in middle school came home with a writing assignment corrected by his English teacher. In the margins were red marks with both positive comments and feedback on how to improve his paper. Ugh! How I hated getting those red marks from teachers when I was in school. But like it or not, teachers are trying to do the right thing by providing much needed feedback on the writer’s own language/thought development and the way the writer expresses those thoughts.

Practical Intuition

When my son was about 2 years old I took him to his daycare center where he had been going for about a year. One day we visited the new toddler room that he would be attending the following week. He hesitated to walk into that new room and held tightly onto my hand (which was quite unusual behavior for him). It took him several minutes before he would let go and explore his new surroundings. My practical mind told me that he was just being an average child who is cautious about entering a new environment.

Believe It or Believe It

I am a very practical person. I rarely believe something until I see it however; I am learning more and more about this cool thing called the Law of Attraction. Heard of it? It is a concept that makes sense when I think about it in terms of magnets and gravity but I draw a blank when I try to understand how it works with attracting money, a new job, etc. If you have seen the movie called “The Secret”, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Basically the various people in the movie describe how to use the Law of Attraction to get anything you want in life.

How do people set and acheive their goals? Some set attainable goals, some set extraordinary ones. For most people, reaching their goals is a struggle; they get stuck and end up giving up.

Using my training and experience in life, career and business coaching and NLP, I teach people the skills to define and coach them on their own path to accomplish their personal and professional goals quickly and easily.
