He is the Director- Research & Development at Abhumka Herbal Pvt Ltd in Ahmedabad, India. He has been documenting ethnobotanical knowledge of tribals of Central and Western India for more than 15 years. Dr Acharya has written as many as 3500 articles (scientific and popular) for various jou als, magazines, print media and online newsletters. His company validates herbal practices of healers from remote pockets in India and converts into finished products. He is a Feature Writer/ Member- Editorial Board for many magazines.
