THINK TWICE. If I could just offer those two words of such critical importance and mass this month and leave it at that, I would. THINK TWICE. Two words that will have such impact, such life-altering influence that if I could just leave it right exactly there, like I said, I would. But then you’d probably think somebody wordnapped me and you’d get all conce ed and act impetuously and impulsively and forget to THINK TWICE at every turn – and, then, I would be to blame for jackin’ your future.

As have other musical artists down through the ages. Your Empowering Days for August, 2011
Inside the first two days of August, Mercury the Messenger, the planet that governs all things related to communications, goes on vacation until the end of the month. Now, I don’t know about you, but How I Spent My Summer Vacation (so far at least) is pushing water up a lazy river. People. Places. Things. That are supposed to be collaborating/helping/working on pulling prime projects along are just always someplace else. Except the ones who aren’t. Me REALLY likey them. And Gail, Patty, Mariel…you know EXACTLY who I’m talking about.

I'm goin' fishin', yes I'm goin' fishin', and my baby's goin' fishin' too!
Title of today’s blog is a chorus of one of my all time favorite Taj Mahal songs. I sure does love me some Taj Mahal! Okay, have to make this quick since I have an appt out of office in an hour and I’m nowhere near glam enough to take my bad self out into the big, wide world. Believe it or not I’m actually starting to get emails from parents whose kids are heading back to the classroom. So today I wanted to share a really remarkable Feng Shui cure (ask fifty gagillion clients who have tried this….okay, okay, ask the ten or so that I have testimonials from…) this fish works swimmingly.r

Somewhere Over….The Next Few Days!
Okay, so, I’ve already said quite enough about what we can expect the next couple/few days what with a dynamic and problematic T-Square baring both teeth and ill will. An angry and assertive red planet will be squaring off against unpredictable Uranus and uber power Pluto practically begging you to think very very VERY carefully, especially before you speak (or text or email or smoke signal.)

Jammin for Love
There’s a reason that State Fairs are so commonplace in August you know. In fact the American county fair is the very symbol of a celebration of plenty, of community and of pride in the fruits of labor. VERY much a ripple effect from what was called ‘The First Harvest’ during the magical, mystical days of olde. But, back to now. After all the work of planting, watering and weeding is done, August is THE time of year to show off the fruits (and flowers and veggies!) of your hard work especially if they are included in a Magically Delicious jelly or jam!

Giving it the old college try...
Door Room Shui…if there were only ONE thing that any student should do, what would that be. Oh, yes, keeping the clutter cleared was right up there. Implausible as that may be considering the age range we’re dealing with. And making sure the bed if OFF the ground so Chi can circulate unde eath is quite critical too. In fact, keeping a separation between studying and the bed is pretty important too.

Your September Empowering Days!
The end of this last Mercury retrograde was a doozy of a dilly and did what Mercury in retrogrades do best, left all the rest of us asking ‘what’s next?’ Earthquakes on the East Coast shaking things up while Irene preferred to stir. In fact, as I write, I’m doing so from New York City. So, while I still have access to electricity (because I always have MY power) let’s take a look at what to expect next.

You have to believe (!!) that you deserve what you are NOW going to manifest. So, once you get clear on what you are going to do with your new found fat stack, you will start to chant the following: (Phonetically first and then actual spelling) Om Shreem Maha Lockschmee Sva ha OM SHRIM MAHA LAKSMI SVAHA Start out be reciting as many times a day as you can but work your way up to 108 times. I use a mala for these purposes but you can certainly count on your fingers or use any other tool that will help you keep an accurate count.
