in 1993 from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Previously, LeFlore was an award-winning
newspaper reporter. Her communications
background includes media employment in Iowa,
Tennessee, Indiana, Chicago and Milwaukee. In
1995-96, she worked on a major freelance
project that combined her areas of expertise in
psychology and writing as Co-writer/Editor of The
Road Less Traveled and Beyond (1997), a book
by the late, internationally-known author, M.
Scott Peck, M.D.
Over the years, LeFlore also taught writing
classes part-time for high school and college
students.
LeFlore obtained credentials in 1995 as a
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and was
subsequently certified as a Substance Abuse
Counselor in Wisconsin. Her professional
experience in human services is inclusive of
community health, education and counseling
programs, including ten years as a
psychotherapist working with individuals, groups
and families, and various program development,
supervisory and management roles.
