Not long ago within our culture, there was a myth that women were not very sexual. If they were, they did not enjoy it, much. It was also not long ago that sex toys were hidden and shameful. It is safe to say that toys and aids have gone main stream. Women are inherently sexual beings and it is the time of our sexual re-awakening. Evolving Relationships and Sexuality Calls for a new kind of Therapist Sex is simple, except it's not. As our society becomes increasingly exposed to sex, increasingly educated and connected, and more aware of sexual potential, a gap in the area of education and teaching has become glaringly obvious. Preface: I'm making generalizations using the terms woman, man she and he... to simplify things. However any gender pronoun works, it is an issue of dynamics not an issue of gender. I simply see patterns in my practice and am referring to the most common. Anything that deviates from that is still relevant. The most common complaint amongst my clients who have otherwise "healthy" or good relationships, is that there is a lack of sex, even to the point of it being non existent.

Favorite Quotes & Thoughts from Freja Njorden

I believe we are more mature and intelligent than the sexual culture in which we are taught sexual disconnect, objectification, compulsion, dissatisfaction and violence as the way things are. People are unsatisfied with the intimacy in their relationships and not understanding why or how to change it. Turning to common advice and rules only perpetuates more of the same. It's time for a new sexual paradigm, one which promotes passion, healthy relationships, intimacy, and profound, enduring, ecstatic pleasure. A framework with new definitions, that allows for true sexual expression and the satisfaction we crave.
