My name is Gabriella D’Anton and I am a skin care specialist, licensed both in Europe and the United States. My experience in the beauty industry is extensive; I have been in practice for over 30 years, but most importantly I kept up with the progresses and all the new discoveries in the field of skin care through continuous education and permanent up-dating of knowledge (trade shows, specialty magazines, attendance of seminars and lectures offered by professional skin care companies, etc) Born and educated in Romania, I came to the United States in 1979 and started my own practice as a skin care specialist in 1983. Following the Romanian tradition and philosophy of Dr. Ana Aslan (the world renowned pioneer of anti-aging medical and beauty treatments) I am equally interested in solving skin problems (in a personal face-to-face, client/aesthetician relationship) as well as sharing my knowledge with a larger audience.
Recently I finished writing the book “The road to beauty”. Puzzled by some claims of the cosmetic industry and outraged by others, I decided to address some specific topics as well as some general conce s regarding the permanent quest for a “better self”. I believe the subject will be of interest to women of all ages and will bring a more balanced prospective into the confusing world of beauty. Convinced that knowledge is the key to avoid or solve problems I structured the book “The road to beauty” in easy to read and understand chapters, covering most areas of “how-to” and “do it yourself” techniques. A better understanding of cause and effect, a few simple and efficient ways to follow step by step instruction makes this a “know-how” book that should provide answers to everyday questions and conce s.
