I have been working on my own spiritual path for fifty years. I hold an AAS and am working on my next degree in Comparative Religion. I also have education in Anthropology, Cultural Geography, Psychology, Sociology, and more. I am well read in many areas of self-help with a focus on spirituality. I believe that we each have a spiritual journey that is personal to us and love to help others along thier path. I hold no expectations for you, no trying to tell you that this is the correct path. I will help you find what fits for you and what you feel fits with your values. I can do this is you are a traditional Christian, or someone exploring Buddhism, Wicca, Hinduism other a mix of many religions. I love to help others explore not only their belief system but ways to make spirituality real in their lives such as pryaer, meditation, yoga, community, volunteer work, meaningful careers , ritual, music, and much more.

I am willing also to share my own journey as people ask, or I think it might be helpful. Although I believe that we walk our own path, I also believe that we often share many of he same type of walls, shoulds, and other stumbling blocks to get free to practice spirituality. I also understand spiritual abuse and if this is your history, we can work on this too.

I am a former Chemical Dependency counselor who while working held a CADC certification. Unhappy with traditional treatment modalities, I have expanded my approach to recovery with spirituality, revised twelve steps, underlying issues and self-empowerment. I have worked with individuals and groups in the following settings and areas: inpatient, incarcerated individuals, rural areas, relapse prevention, education, youth, and dual diagnosis. I am the author of the curriculum used by a local treatment center for incarcerated women. I have specialized experience working for the local health department with those who addictions have put them at risk for, or who have acquired HIV.

Good Parenting Advice from a Bad Mother. June 6 1989, my 28th birthday and the day I pled guilty to a charge of Criminal Mistreatment, I got for spanking my then nine year old son with a belt and leaving serious bruises. I know that’s horrible and your ready to stop reading right now. But don’t because it took me being a bad mother to get the help I needed to become a good grandmother and a better mother to my now adult children.

I knew that I needed a home that both invited my creativity, and welcomed others into my home. A home that said “there is peace here, come in and lay your burdens down.” A two fold problem remained. I have made a commitment to live simply and I don't have a lot of money. My solution has been something I term thrifting. It is the practice of limiting the amount of money I spend on a single object (under $20.00 if it is not furniture) and finding things I love to include in my home.r

According to http://www.thefreedictionary.com/crone. a crone is “an ugly, withered old woman; a hag.” My definition changed though when I read, “ Crones Don't Whine: Concentrated Wisdom for Juicy Women” by Jean Shinoda Bolen. She gives us thirteen ways that to re-look at the word crone. As I am now fifty, I long to be the crone that she described in her book and I have come up with my own list of ways to become a crone.
