The moment the doctor says "I'm sorry to tell you..." you're life changes forever. The trauma of an illness diagnosis is frightening and pulls the rug out from under you. Being empowered to be a part of the wellness process and not simply a victim is critical to healing. Treatment needs to include not only your physical body, but your emotional and spiritual health. The mind-body connection is crucial to healing.
This may be the biggest challenge of your life so be prepared. Don't be a victim. Be a partner in your healthcare. Honor your body and make the disease understand it's not welcome!
