Herm Allen

Herm Allen is a seasoned educational professional with over 20 years of student development experience. With a B.A. in psychology and an M.S. in college student personnel services (with a concentration is administration), Herm has always had an interest in human behavior and personal development. He has served in multiple roles in higher education in particular, student affairs.

Herm has worked in residential life as a resident director, assistant director, academic adviser and coordinator of judicial affairs; career services as a cooperative education coordinator, career counselor, student development coordinator and corporate development coordinator (solicited funds for scholarships); class instructor – college skills, leadership, career orientation, employment strategies; TRIO – tutor coordinator (Student Support Services), program coordinator (Educational Talent Search).

He is the author of F.O.C.U.S. on Your Future: 5 Simple Principles to Reach Your Goals and the Owner/President of Herm Allen Coaching in Clemson, SC. Being the first in his family to receive a college degree, Herm has dedicated his career in education to assisting students, of all ages, in their pursuit of success. While he still has a love for students, his latest focal point is Helping Educators to Help Students to Achieve using emotional intelligence as the vehicle for doing so.

Herm’s vision is to help a multitude of educators, K-12 through post secondary education, who desire to Become Top Performing Educators in their field of expertise and passionate domain. One of Herm’s favorite quotations is “be content, but don’t settle.” This driving philosophy has been a guiding beacon in his professional and personal lives.
