Jacqueline Johns loves life (and has the laughter lines to prove it!).She realized many years ago that her ‘can do’ attitude to life was sadly lacking in many of her counterparts, and since completing her Life Mentoring Course in 2002, has set about rectifying that situation. Jacqueline Johns Life Mentoring, born in 2006, provides wellbeing products (GoChi juice, meditatio CDs, Bee Natural Skin Care) and services (personal mentoring, meditation classes) to the local and global community. In the near future classes and seminars will also be offered.

With her catch-cry of “Life is NOT a dress rehearsal!” Jacqueline assists her clients to live the life of their choice, being happy now, whilst striving to be their best. She specializes in improving her clients’ self-image, as she believes this is at the heart of most issues. Her philosophy is reflected in her mission statement: “My inner wisdom drives me to be the best I can be and to help others find inner peace by doing the same.”

At her Nunawading office (and occasionally at other locations) she utilizes her gift for uplifting others, whilst improving the self-image of her clients with dramatic results. Her happy clients obtain results with self-esteem, weight loss, motivation, relationship issues and personal development. When at home in Mitcham with her friend Sam-or-Frodo and two teenage children, Jacqueline enjoys reading, and unfortunately for those within her vicinity, singing and dancing!

Okay, Okay, I admit it - sometimes life just isn't happy! Even the happiest of us experience times when life just plain sux. Jobs can be lost, relationships can crumble, dreams can collapse, finances can be challenging, crap can happen. But when any or all of the above (God forbid) happen, what stops us from dropping our bundle and heading off to the nearest looney bin/religious cult/dumpster to live out our lives in oblivion? I see three possible answers: 1). Fear of shock treatment/medication/other inmates. 2).

I sincerely hope, dear readers, that life has so far been kind to you, and that you haven't experienced too many trying times. Most of us have been in that position at some time when you may find yourself asking "why is this happening to me?". Well we are here on earth to have experiences which make us evolve and grow. Part of that growth is finding out who we are, and a great method of self-discovery is being put under pressure. Without having our mettle tested, we would be ignorant of our own strength and courage.

I've just been out visiting my girlfriend. Today is her birthday, and like me (and most other Leos) she loves to celebrate her birthday. The celebrations have toned down over the past several years though. Where once we partied or lunched, now the day is marked more simply, with me just popping in for a quick visit with a small floral offering. We don't laugh as loudly or as long as we used to, but our shared memories still warm the heart, and spring a smile.

Why do you go to work every day? Is it because you are fulfilling your creativity by expressing who you are through your work? No? Why not? Why are you in your relationship? Is it because you and your partner are committed to building together the best life possible? Because you bring out the best in each other? Because you both feel loved, supported, nurtured within the relationship? No? Why not? If you answered 'no' to any of the above, could it be that the reason why you find yourself in one or both of these scenarios is the same?

Excuse my language, but is your diary full of c--p? Is it chock-full of appointments and commitments you'd rather not keep? Are those appointments the results of you being available to do chores other people don't want to do? Are they the results of you wanting to feel needed and useful? Are you always delegated the humdrum, while others enjoy the HALLELUJAH!? Are your appointments and commitments the fulfillment of the life you had planned when you became an adult?
