Feng Shui: What Is It and Where Does It Come From?
Feng shui is the ancient Chinese art of placement. The basic principle is that life-force energy, known in China as "chi", flows through your dwellings and has a powerful effect on the way you feel and think. The surrounding landscape as well as the objects, layout and emotions in your environment affect this flow of energy. When your space is filled with positive energy and symbols, you feel happy and motivated. To simplify, your goal is to maximize the positive energy and minimize the negative.

Five Feng Shui Tips for a Harmonious Home
"Flow" is definitely a key word in feng shui. When anything is stopped up, stagnation sets in and things come to a standstill. The blood and air in our bodies need to circulate for vital health, creativity, and sales need to move for increased wealth. Words and emotions also need to flow for loving relationships. So, is your life flowing? Where might you need to call in your "inner plumber" to unblock certain areas of your life? What rooms, closets and cabinets are calling your name? It's time to get honest and clear space in the areas of your life that are working and the ones that aren't.

How to get started
My approach to Feng Shui is holistic. In addition to décor and interior design ideas based on feng shui principles, in my consultations and my book, I offer a new way of interacting with the world around you. Feng shui can be a lifestyle. From my point of view, arranging your environment is one piece of the puzzle. It is a beginning; an entry into a new way of discovering how energy affects you on a daily basis. You must realize that healthy energy is moving energy. If your space and mind are filled with clutter, it is extremely difficult to move forward in all aspects of your life. As you begin to clear out the old, new opportunities, people and energy come flowing in.
Symbolically, our homes and offices are reflections of our inner self. They embody our interests, beliefs, spirit and passions! You must recognize the subtle messages your home continually plays into your subconscious. With Feng Shui awareness, you can see how the objects within your environment affect your thoughts, actions and behaviors. When you shift your outer world, it shifts your inner world and visa versa.
Your will is instrumental in actively and purposefully materializing your outcomes. Programming your clear intentions into your environment will rapidly accelerate the abundance in your life. I teach people to implement inner and outer Feng Shui techniques to secure lasting and transformative results.
