"As I stepped from the undramatic lighting of the house onto the front porch I was greeted by a cheery blue sky and warm, welcoming sunshine. In my right hand I held a tattered thermal coffee mug from Einstein Brother’s bagel shop and in my left was a nearly empty soft pack of Marlboro Lights; by “nearly empty” I mean one. It was the last cigarette I would ever smoke."

So begins the description of my last cigarette. As I smoked (and cursed) it I was almost giddy with anticipation and delight. I'd spent over 30 years as a slave to cigarettes and my fear of the agonies of stopping smoking. But I knew that the nightmare was about to end and would never, ever return.

How is it possible that I could stop smoking easily, painlessly and joyously? After all, we all know how hard it is to quit smoking, right? Well, that's not necessarily true. I learned from Allen Carr, author of "The Easy Way To Stop Smoking", that quitting smoking could be a piece of cake with a new mindset.

I was so impressed with what Carr did for me that I created a smoking cessation course based on what I learned from him.

Symptoms of low self esteem are like symptoms of any other malady; they are indicative of an underlying problem that, unless treated, is likely to get worse before getting better. And as I stated earlier, health self image is your permission to succeed and without it, personal fulfillment and ...

I smoked cigarettes for a lot of years, more tha I can bring myself to admit to. So when it comes to giving reasons, or should I say "making excuses" for continuing to suffocate myself, I am a pro. I've met smokers who claim not to believe the overwhelming evidence that smoking is hazardous to your health. There are some that believe it but are willing to risk painful death rather than quit. And there are smokers who just don't ever think of such things; Mammy, Pappy, Gramps and Uncle Bubba all smoke so why shouldn't they? But these people are rare.
