Joan learned what she teaches the hard way—through personal experience. As a result of long-standing physical problems, she had a difficult time earning money and even had a brief stint with homelessness, which she framed as her “spiritual journey.”

In 1984, with a small loan from a friend, she rapidly built a successful wholesale, retail, and mail order venture, Joan’s Crystals. Joan was the first person to market crystals and minerals for healing and meditation nationwide and had a line of stones, Joan’s Stones, that were in over 600 New Age stores, when that market was first opening.

But the business grew too quickly and her lack of business and financial management skills were her downfall and she eventually went bankrupt. This stimulated her to learn the skills she needed to eventually succeed both financially and in business. She also followed a strong healing path that led her to a point of excellent physical health.

Long hours spent in meditation helped Joan develop strong intuitive abilities that she now uses to tune into her client’s emotional issues that block success. Within one or two sessions, she helps her clients uncover and release the habitual internal patterns that create discomfort while tuning into their own intuitive knowledge.
