Mr. Klemens is a Pittsburgh native who has practiced in clinical settings at various Western PA medical centers and, as a former co-owner of two successful pharmacies, also has experience in retail and consulting practice. As an accomplished versatile writer he has published over forty essay and articles in local, national, and international magazines, web sites , and acollege text. Topics include oriental medicine, complementary and alte ative medicine, psychotropic herbs, health and wellness, sports medicine, leadership and ethics and Scottish culture and history.
In 2000, he was a Contributing Writer for the “Pittsburgh Northside Magazine” and “Pennsylvania Health & Fitness.” He has made numerous public and professional presentations including lectures for Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Wisconsin, Duquesne University, and the PA Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
His education includes degrees in biology (emphasis in endocrinology and neurobiology), pharmacy, and a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Business Ethics, from Duquesne University. He is also experienced in Qi Gong, Tai Chi Chuan, Shotokan Katare, Kendo, Hapkido, and Taekwon-do (Black Belt).Mr. Klemens is a member of numerous professional organizations including the Pennsylvania Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists, the Center for Creative Leadership, the Institute for Global Ethics, and the Scottish Genealogy Society. He is also listed in the Marquis Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Medicine, Healthcare, and Education and is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.
