I’m Karen Hansen, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, certified coach and author. I work with individuals and groups who intend to live fully, in mind, body and spirit. The way I see and practice psychotherapy can help you to come to terms with emotions and experiences; and can give you a new start to live your life to your full potential. I have twelve years clinical experience working with individuals, adolescents, and couples of all ages. My background in business and belief in a holistic perspective means that I bring a no-nonsense blend of the traditional psychology and the intuitive arts. Transpersonal therapy reflects an integration of spiritual as well as physical, emotional and mental aspects of health and wellbeing. I regularly present interactive lectures on how to cope with stress, how to deal with difficult emotions, and how to create peace of purpose in your life. I also received my certification in Hypnotherapy and I am a Certified Archetypal Journey Guide and trained in Body dialogue, energy psychology, EMDR Resourcing, meditation and dream work.
For clients interested in the transpersonal approach, I can offer processes to awaken the wider dimensions of consciousness. This provides a larger perspective to life, looking at questions like “What is my purpose?” or ” What did my soul come to accomplish?” The transpersonal approach may include cultivating expanded states of consciousness such as meditation, inter-life experiences, hypnosis, and intuition. This can help you to unfold your own intuitive and subconscious awareness so you can foster your own self-healing and experience a greater self-expression.
